"Malibu had everything that I was looking for." Rick Brown currently lives in Ottawa and is a professional dancer and actor. With his family and so much of the entertainment business centred in Toronto, he plans to move here in the spring of 2005. When he decided to move, he picked up The Toronto Star's Condo Living Section and began his research for a new condominium. Among others, he saw the ad for Malibu and after checking the information on the web site, he started his tour of condominium projects in the downtown area. He arrived at the Malibu Presentation Centre and immediately liked what he saw. "Malibu had everything that I was looking for. It was in my price range, had a one -bedroom suite and fabulous gym facilities," said Brown. "Being a dancer, the gym is very important to me. Now I won't have to worry about joining a gym." Rick bought a Santa Monica suite and really liked the open concept living/dining room and kitchen. The balcony was one of the key deciding points. "Malibu is also perfectly located by a TTC stop which is important as I don't have a car and across from a super grocery store that will have everything I will need. I wanted to be downtown yet not in the middle of all the bustle and Malibu is just far enough away from all of that. I walked from Yonge Street and Dundas to Malibu and it was a great walk."

"We love the proximity to all the entertainment and restaurants in downtown as well as the scenic walk along the Harbourfront just outside our front door." When Aurora residents, Jan and John Morrison decided that they would move closer to downtown Toronto, they explored many of the condominiums in the downtown area. After visiting the Malibu presentation centre, they immediately liked the concept and design of the building. "We love the proximity to all the entertainment and restaurants in downtown as well as the scenic walk along the Harbourfront just outside our front door," explained John. Another appealing aspect of Malibu was the recreation facility. The Morrisons plan to make good use of it when they are not spending time at their cottage. "Other determining factors in our decision to buy at Malibu were the fabulous 625 sq. ft terrace on the suite that we liked and the two year closing time as this fit in perfectly with our schedule," adds John.

"I wanted to live in the downtown area and also within my tight budget." Darcy Farrell recently started her career at one of the downtown Toronto hospitals. Living with her parents west of Toronto, she found the 90 minute commute too long. With an eye to purchasing a condominium closer to downtown, the 22 year old set out to find her first home. "I had two specific requirements," said Darcy. "I wanted to live in the downtown area and also within my tight budget." When she saw the Malibu billboard she checked the web site and was pleased to see the Malibu suite layouts and prices on the site. Then she visited the presentation centre with her parents, Pat and Joe. "Malibu had everything I was looking for - a great downtown location and it was within my budget. I really liked the layout of the suite and the major supermarket that's going to be right across the street will make everything so convenient. Best of all, I can leave my car at home and go to work on the street car."

"The view of the lake is fabulous. And we really liked the appliance package that Malibu offered." When Vancouver Canucks' new centre Peter Sarno recently became engaged to be married, he knew that he would be away from Toronto for the next hockey season - but still he needed a place to call home here in the city. Peter and his fiance Stefania Scarpato, a young lawyer, knew they wanted to live in the downtown area. "We drove along the Lakeshore one day and stopped at Malibu," said Peter. "We liked the feel, the location and the design of the building. The suite layout was exactly what we were looking for, the price seemed very reasonable and the sales representative was very friendly." "The view of the lake is fabulous. And we really liked the appliance package. The $10,000 in free upgrades really helped, too. We visited a lot of projects, but Malibu was the best value of any condominium we saw in downtown Toronto." A professional hockey player for six years, Peter plans to return to Toronto when the season is over to get married. Afterwards, he and Stafania believe that Malibu will be an ideal option for their new travel-oriented lifestyle.
